History of Adeli Methods
|
We owe the
discovery of the Adeli Approach to Vladimir Tychina, a staff doctor at the No.
18 Children Psycho-neurological Hospital in Moscow. He was the first to conceive
the idea of applying a cosmonaut G-suit for rehabilitation of patients with
motor disorders of cerebral origin. Vladimir Tychina (who died in 2001) also
worked out the principles of Adeli Methods. This therapy has been applied
effectively in practice for more than ten years now. The principles of Adeli
Methods were later elaborated in works by Russian scientists, in particular, in
a series of developments by Professor Oleg Bogdanov, director of the Institute
of Medical Rehabilitation in St. Petersburg. Professor Bogdanov has also
authored the most comprehensive version of Adeli therapy methods.
